ABOUT ME

I'm not what happened to me,
I'm what I choose to become.

COUNSELING PSYCHOLOGIST
Psychology MA
The first big shift in my life happened when I switched to studying psychology instead of the originally chosen field. Back then, and even now, I feel like it’s the best profession in the world: understanding ourselves, the workings of our mind and emotions, and "hacking" life to shape it the way we want. Encouraging others and witnessing their growing confidence and belief that they can not only cope with life’s difficulties but also make meaningful changes and live a fuller life is, to me, humbling and purposeful work.
Coach trainings
When I first saw and experienced how even a single, well-structured, solution-focused coaching session could bring about such positive changes, I immediately knew this was what I wanted to do. Evolutionarily, we are wired to think negatively and look for dangers, but in modern life, this often holds us back. Fortunately, curiosity and the pursuit of novelty are also part of human nature, and with some practice and mental training, we can strengthen positive, supportive thinking. My psychology training provided a strong foundation for applying life coaching and later career coaching techniques successfully with my clients, many of whom report improvements in their quality of life after just a few sessions.
HR, IT startup: Prezi.com
As an HR professional in the IT start-up field, I quickly embraced the mindset of focusing on efficiency, solutions, and specific, tangible, and describable steps, while also encouraging experimentation and innovation (agile, design thinking). In addition to expanding and nurturing the company's culture, I supported the team as a manager coach and business partner. I had the opportunity to learn from the best in Silicon Valley multiple times. And yes, I even tried my hand at programming!
Career changers: IT bootcamp coaching, training
The bootcamp students came from those who were starting new careers, even after many years of experience in different fields. Alongside my role as an organizational development psychologist, I supported them through this intense period with soft skills training and a lot of individual coaching. I am always amazed at how bravely clients embrace change and how their thinking and self-esteem transform as a result.
South East Asia, travels, yoga
A significant turning point in my life came when I left my job to embark on a big adventure, aiming to try my luck abroad. After the original plan didn’t work out, I had to improvise a Plan B: this led me to dive deep into yoga practice and, following an intensive yoga teacher training, I worked as a yoga studio manager in Siem Reap. I learned a lot about other cultures and myself, and I also acquired mindfulness techniques and a holistic approach that allow me to better support my clients.
Motherhood, launching my business, moving abroad
I decided to build my own practice as an entrepreneur, fulfilling a long-time dream of mine. However, I never imagined how much our lives would change with the arrival of our daughter: becoming a parent is the most intense mirror and helps put into perspective what truly matters. In the middle of the COVID pandemic, we embarked on another adventure and moved abroad again, bringing our cat along too. :) Since then, I’ve been working online with clients from back home and other places, as well as with the local expat community. Along the way, I kept learning—exploring purpose, supporting mid-life career changes, and completing maternity coach training. I’m passionate about empowering women to take control of their lives and careers.
INSPIRATION
I have been greatly influenced by philosopher Alan Watts, who speaks about finding the meaning of life not in the typical, straight path of always chasing distant goals, but in existence itself: in how we experience what we are doing and living in the moment. Life is more like music, with no end goal; its essence lies within the experience itself. This philosophy drives me, both in my personal life and in my work with clients.
Because there is no better feeling than witnessing someone find their own "rhythm."
